Everything the platform does

A full, honest rundown of what's actually built and running today — not a roadmap slide. Where something is genuinely still in progress, it's labelled clearly rather than folded in with what's shipped.

Core recording & viewing

Live viewing & recording

Cameras are found automatically with ONVIF discovery — no manual stream URLs to configure. Record continuously, only on motion, or a mix of both, with a live drag-and-drop grid for keeping an eye on everything at once.

Per-camera recording schedules

Set a weekly schedule per camera — motion-triggered during the day, continuous overnight, or whatever pattern actually fits how a site is used — instead of one blunt setting for every hour of the week.

Camera tampering detection

Get alerted if a camera is covered, blurred, or physically repositioned — catching interference with the system itself, not just what it's pointed at.

AI & retail loss prevention

Licensed modules, switched on per site — available today, priced by your partner if you're reselling NVRblink.

Face Recognition

Enrol known people and get notified when one of them — or someone unrecognised — appears on camera. Unrecognised faces are captured into a review queue so you can identify and enrol them later, not lost the moment they walk out of frame.

Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)

Reads vehicle number plates in real time as they pass a camera, so you can flag known vehicles and keep a searchable record of who's been on site and when.

Retail Mode — Watchlist alerts

Flag a specific individual — a known shoplifter, for example — and get an immediate alert the moment they're recognised on any camera on site, before they've had the chance to do anything.

Retail Mode — AI concealment detection

An AI model watches for the kind of movement associated with concealing an item, and flags anything suspicious into a review queue for staff to check — an assistant that helps you catch what you'd otherwise miss, not a replacement for a member of staff watching the shop floor.

Retail Mode — Virtual receipt printer overlay

Connect your till system and every receipt is overlaid live on the recording from the camera covering that till — so the footage and the transaction it corresponds to are tied together automatically, no manual cross-referencing after the fact.

Multi-site & investigation

Multi-Site viewing

Designate one site as a "Main Hub" and it can pull in and display live cameras from any number of other sites' Hubs — one screen covering multiple locations, genuinely useful for a business with more than one site to keep an eye on.

PTZ camera control

Built-in support for pan/tilt/zoom-capable cameras, controllable remotely — for sites using PTZ hardware rather than fixed cameras alone.

Forensic search

Search recorded footage by a recognised person or vehicle plate across every camera on site, not just one at a time — and export a clip with a watermark and a tamper-evident record of exactly what was exported and when, ready to hand over as real evidence.

Automation & integration

Webhooks & third-party monitoring

Push events out to your own systems in real time via webhooks, or integrate directly with a third-party monitoring company's platform — the system fits into how you already work, rather than asking you to work around it.

Automatic configuration history

Every settings change is automatically snapshotted, with a clear diff of exactly what changed and a one-click restore to any previous version — real peace of mind if a change ever needs undoing, no manual backup discipline required.

Security, on by default

Nothing below is a paid add-on or something you need to remember to switch on.

Tamper-evident audit log

Every login, setting change, and camera edit is written into a SHA-256 hash-chained audit trail. Alter a past entry and the chain breaks — built to make silent tampering detectable, not just logged.

Two-factor authentication

Standard TOTP-based 2FA (Google Authenticator, Authy, and similar apps) for admin sign-in, with one-time recovery codes if you lose your device.

Account lockout & hardened by default

Repeated failed sign-ins lock an account out for a cooldown period. Underneath, the box runs with fail2ban, a host firewall, an SSH on/off toggle, and automatic updates — hardened out of the box, not left to whoever installs it.

Cameras on their own isolated network

A dedicated second network port with its own built-in DHCP keeps every camera off the client's actual network entirely — no IP conflicts, nothing for their IT provider to worry about, and a compromised or misbehaving camera can't reach anything else on site.

Free hostname & trusted HTTPS

Every device gets a free remote-access hostname so it keeps working when a client's IP address changes — and Hub will manage a genuine trusted HTTPS certificate via Let's Encrypt automatically if you point it at your own domain.

In active development

Genuinely being built right now, not yet released — included here so you know what's coming, not to claim it works today.

Two-way audio / talk-back

Talk through a compatible camera's built-in speaker directly from the app — in active development now, not yet released.
