Who we are

NVRblink is a trading name of Creswick Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16680472). Creswick Media Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, and is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC157455.

The short version

The NVRblink application stores your cameras, footage, and settings locally on your own Windows machine. Nothing about your cameras or recordings is sent to us, because there's nowhere for it to go — NVRblink doesn't have a cloud backend. This website collects only what's described below.

In the application

• • Camera details, recordings, and account information are stored in a local SQLite database on your machine, inside your Windows user profile.
• • Camera passwords are encrypted at rest using Windows' built-in credential protection (DPAPI), tied to your Windows user account and machine.
• • If you enable the optional remote-viewing feature, it listens on a port you configure; login is via a token issued by your own instance of NVRblink, not a shared account with us. We don't operate any servers that your application talks to.

On this website

• • Contact form: if you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide, so we can reply to you. We keep this only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
• • Server logs: like most websites, our hosting infrastructure keeps basic technical logs (e.g. IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.
• • No tracking cookies or analytics pixels are used on this site.

Your NVRblink account

Creating an account (from the Windows Setup Wizard) collects your email address, country, and a securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text. If you choose to enable the optional Cloud Storage or Hostname services, we additionally hold what's needed to run them: for Cloud Storage, your recordings themselves (uploaded directly to our storage provider) plus how much space you've used; for Hostname, the DNS record pointing your chosen address at your home network's IP. Both are entirely optional and off unless you turn them on.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you have an NVRblink account, you can download a copy of your account data or permanently delete your account (which also removes any Cloud Storage recordings and releases your Hostname's DNS record) from the account portal. For anything else — including contact form messages — email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy as NVRblink develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
